Session Descriptions

Part One:
Get with the Program. How Colleges and Universities Can Offer Program, Major and Degree Pages that Don’t Suck.

Majors, degrees, and programs… these are the products that colleges and universities offer, and the act of earning a degree is a life-changing experience for most people. Why, then, are so many major, program, and degree pages on .edu sites so long, lackluster, or lifeless?

Part one of this webinar series will focus on creating a better user experience in a place that matters to almost every prospective student: majors, degree, and program pages. We’ll look at design, usability, and content decisions for these pages and best-in-category examples.

What we’ll cover:
• Best in category examples.
• Flexible strategies and ideas to use to make your program, majors, and degree pages better.
• Ideas for managing these pages, content reviews, and more.

Part Two:
School of Awesome. Building Better Pages for Schools and Departments within .edu Sites.

Whether you’re a large university or a small liberal arts college, you likely have smaller academic subdivisions whose web pages are destinations for high-ability prospective students. Are your schools and department pages consistent enough for a visitor who may be visiting more than one? Are you doing what you can to provide accurate and compelling information to prospective students? Part two of this series is designed to provide open-ended strategies for success on school and department pages.

What we’ll cover:
• Best in category examples.
• Flexible strategies and ideas to use to make your school and department pages better.
• The maintenance of school and department sites.

Nitty Gritty Details:
Institutions can register for the series at a cost of $175. Each registration fee includes one licensed seat and unlimited access to the slide decks and webinar recordings.
